Rather than take the high road, Christopher Thomas Scott decided to burn every bridge that lead to his ex-girlfriend by posting a video of them having sex online. I am sure this must be humiliating for her, but ladies, come on. We have to be smarter than this!!! Christopher Thomas Scott, 20, was dumped by his unnamed girlfriend after a six month courtship in early 2010. Scott attends Stevenson University in Maryland and used to play on the school’s lacrosse team.
During their time together, Scott ‘continually tried to get her to do things sexually with some of his friends’, a suggestion she denied repeatedly. After those less-than subtle urgings, the victim told police that he then ‘manipulated her into making a video while they were having sex’. But that wasn’t enough for Scott, and the police affidavit says that ‘he didn’t like [the video] because it looked as if she wasn’t enjoying herself and made her do it again’.
Shortly after their videotaped performance, the victim broke up with Scott. Though that was not the end of their interactions. A scorned Scott then posted the video online with a derogatory title.
The woman, 24, only found out about the video when she was called by her employer and questioned about it. She was fired immediately. ‘Many people she knows found out about the video and she has been getting harassed ever since,’ the affidavit says. The victim finally confronted Scott months later about the video, though he said it had already been taken down and he claims it was only live on the web for two days.
She contacted police in early October and they went to Scott’s family home in Newton, Pennsylvania where he is now living in the basement.
In addition to the former couple’s video of them having sex, police also found several files of child pornography on Scott’s laptop. He is now charged with four misdemeanor counts relating to the production and distribution of his sex tape and two counts relating to the drugs found in his room.
Scott said that he posted the video ‘because he was depressed over his break-up with the victim and he was trying to be hateful’.
Though he did admit that he ‘realized the implications it could have’ and did contact other sites that had uploaded the video after his initial posting, he ‘admitted he was sorry for posting the video without the consent or knowledge of the victim’.
